Yay!

This is the fifth day in china and I finally have internet access. I'm damn tired. Everyday go shopping.. OK, must go already. I'll post about my trip another day.

The choir holiday schedule is mad. Heng I go back China. Otherwise I'll just die. Some pracs are from 7.30am-5pm. That's the worst. But the best is still abit de...Siao.. From 1-5pm... Still like 4 hours... Scary.. Good luck to all who are going! :D

OMG. I'm finally going back Sichuan after like 4 1/2 years... So cool. Must go shopping! (Hope I've time for that..)

Arg! 累死我了! do so many stuff. I just finished sweeping and mopping the floor. Omgosh. 我真苦命. Somebody hire a maid for me please! I'll love you forever.

The days I hate the most are Saturdays and Sundays. My mum always keeps me busy with stupid stuff, e.g. mopping the floor, hang up loads of clothes, cook, wash dishes, etc etc... I would rather just go school. :(

My group is dead. For Bio and HCL PT. Cheryl Chan is damn busy over the hols, Sylvia goes overseas for comps and I go back China. And somemore I really don't feel like researching or writing any stuff. :'( Sad life man

Oh, and my mum is really unbelievable. She asks me to bring a book along, e.g. Chem, to study... Errr...

星光 十强

Just finished the whole show. Haiyo. Can't believe it. Both 黄靖伦and Sugie got in. I mean Sugie is expected to get in lah.. But 黄靖伦?! Though his voice is special, he's funny, but he really doesn't sing very well. He's damn lucky lah. Never get kicked out. But I don't think he'll last very long. If he gets in top five, then the only thing I can say about this comp is that it's really unfair. Haha. Or unless he really improve a looooooot, which doesn't seem very possible..

Anw, I think 徐佳莹, 黎楚宁 and 林芯仪 are damn pro. I bet they'll be top 5. Unless some accident happens. Hehe. Good luck to them! :D

Wentworth Miller!!!!!

He's damn hot!!!!!! OMG! The more I look at him, the hotter he seems! And he's damn pro. He graduated from Princeton University (majored in English Literature) and he was in some a capella group in uni. So cool!!!!!

He's like super mixed. His father is of African-American, Jamaican, English, German, Jewish and Cherokee ancestry, and his mother is of Russian, French, Dutch, Lebanese and Syrian descent. His father's damn pro also. He studied in Oxford.

Today got back report book.. Hai.. Sad... My GPA is so low.. Die die die. Later when my mum sees it, she'll start nagging again.. Can't believe Physics is the lousiest out of all. It's so easy man.

Anw, today's a sad day. OK, the class party was nice. Nice food and games. But it's like the last day of school and nobody's free to go out... CCAs.. OMG. Can't stand it. How sad. I wanna watch What Happens in Vegas. Danielle went to watch it just now and she said it's damn nice. I also wanna watch!!!!!!!!! (Danielle! U suck! U never go CCA also never tell me. I wanna go with you all lor. Now I have no more chance of watching it until I come back from China. And by that time, the movie will not be showing already...)

Anw, I just finished Prison Break. OMG. So damn nice!! Wentworth Miller is so hot!!! ARG! Super HOT! :D I'll be looking forward to season 4.. Quick!

Headache

I had headache for the whole of today. :(

We watched a damn stupid n nonsensical n gross movie today. -.-

During Chem, Mr D. Lau was asking us to help him with a "game" - different logos are given and u are supposed to fill in where it is from. Lame. I was so bored cos I didn't even know anything. I mean like Nike that kind surely know lah.. But the others I had no idea what they were. From this game, u can see that my class is full of shopping freaks...

I finally went to choir today. Haven't gone for ages.. Hai... Reach home so late. Tiring man..

There are just so many stuff that I'm angry/sad/irritated with..

I ponned choir for one whole week eh.. Unbelievable. But I just have no interest in going for it when I'm not going for concert and when I have to stand for 3 hours until my leg dies (actually 4 hours - plus one more hour on the way home). And this week, although it's extremely slack, I'm super damn tired every day. No mood to go for anything.


I calculated my GPA. It's damn low. How can I get 2.8 for Phys when it's not even supposed to be a difficult subject?! And what happened to Chem.. :( Die lah.. So lousy. Math is even worse.

Now must start on HCL n Bio PT le. So stupid. What's the point lah. Somemore there's so little time for Bio PT. How to finish! :(

Today

Hehe. Mr Ang is so damn nice! He treated us to ice creams :D Somemore we can choose wateva ice cream we like. OMG. So nice!

Anw, Cheryl Chan, Danielle, Clarinda and I went bowling today, at Marina Square. So fun! But we were so damn lousy. The other people were so pro. I bet they were laughing at us. But nvm, it's still very fun!

I got 90.5 for HCL :D So far, I'm only contented with SS and HCL marks. The others are really horrible. I hope tmr's will all be OK... But Bio....Hai...

Wah today the 105 driver sucks like shit. He either doesn't know how to drive or he drank. It's like so damn irritating lah.

And today was just such a lousy day. Lousy results. Boring and tiring cooking lesson. It's a waste of time. Seriously. Who would make pastry at home when they are hungry lor. At least teach something more useful right! Somemore I don't even need them to teach me. My cooking is so much nicer than theirs.

And tmr have to go school!!! Stupid lah. Go so long just for Math supplementary lesson?! Such a waste of time.

I can't wait to go back Sichuan. Nice food, nice people, nice shopping centres and nice affordable clothes...

OMG. There's a super stupid earthquake in Sichuan, Wen Chuan of magnitude 7.8. Arg!

Boring

OMG. This is seriously boring. There's nothing else that I can do, other than watching TV and videos online.

Yesterday went to watch NYGH choir concert. And I don't know why Sheena and I were so damn unlucky. We took the correct bus, but wrong direction and we ended up at Hougang or something. Then, we took a cab. And after we crossed the road, we waited for maybe 5 minutes and didn't even see a single cab. :(

Then later, the driver dropped us off at HCJC, cos he wasn't sure where NYGH is also. And after we crossed the road, we walked for like 10min or maybe even more. Hai.. The concert starts at 7.30pm, but we reached at 8pm, so we missed half the concert. And worst of all, we missed Como Tu. I really want to hear what it sounds like! :(

So in the end, we wanted to take 171 to Newton MRT, but obviously, we missed the stop and took until Far East. LOL.. I reached home at 11.30pm....

Anw, I think the concert was quite good and they have damn nice lighting and stuff. And their gown is nice lah! It's white and their shoes are white also. So cool! But only people with good figure would look nice in it lah. Cos there's no sleeve and it's kind of tight..

I'm so bored at home leh... Dunno what to do. The only thing I can do is to watch videos. :(

this sucks

this is one of the 2 days in my whole life to sleep after 12am because of sch. first was for phys pt n now it's for bio mya. :( how can the sch treat us like this! we'll all become pandas by the end of this year... :((((( so ugly... somemore i'm like such a slacker.. so i can't imagine what the muggers are doing right now.. probably not sleeping today?!

I'm desperate!!!

I'm so super desperate now. I still have the WHOLE cell membrane topic and autotrophic nutrition to memorize.. More than 15pgs of Biozone..... :'(

I'm so damn pissed

OMG, I'm so damn pissed by the fact tt it feels like we didn't learn anything for BIO, but when u open up biozone, u know that u are totally dead. U know nothing about the stuff inside, and u are expected to memorize every single thing related in a few hours. This sucks. Bio is supposed to be a study of the world around us and about the organisms, but now they are basically testing us on our memory. Like WTH. For people with not much memory left, like me, how do they even expect us to rmb so much stuff lah.

And for Hist, the topics are seriously damn boring. Who cares about the impacts of Scientific Revolution?! And I don't care about Industrial Revolution OK! Even learning about the communism in China or like Hitler is better than this lor........

PHYS :(

OK.. I totally flunged my Phys, cos i actually mixed up longitudinal and transverse waves!!!!!!!! Arg!!!!!!!!!! I really just wanna kill myself... And the e********e qn!!!! It's in e book and i saw it! But I was thinking they definitely won't test this kinda qn so I didn't read!!!! THEN?!!!!!!!!! It actually came out!! Shit lah..

AND the dunno wat scope thingy. OMG it's actually so easy and i didn't think of it?! lost 5 marks over this kinda stupid qn?! Hai.. my GPA is really dead... Wish me gd luck for hist and bio tmr. I'm only starting to revise both of them NOW!!!! Like i didn't touch them AT ALL during e weekend. No mood to study.. :'(

如何打开喉咙

若想把喉咙完全打开，必须首先搞清楚用力的部位和感觉。在歌唱时如果能将喉咙完全打开，那么歌者自身的感觉应该是喉咙即有向外扩张，又有使喉结向下的力量。贝基先生说：“正确地打开喉咙是感到颈部往四周扩张。”“要感到喉咙的的两侧的肌肉发酸，在促使喉结往下放，这才是对的。”为了说明这个问题，贝基先生在课堂上常常做这样的手势，就是将两只手自两肩像推开两堵墙一样向外推，以示说明这种力量的方向和感觉。…… 为了找到打开喉咙的感觉和用力的部位，贝基先生在讲学中用了很多具体手段，这些手段都是比较容易体会的，而且也都是卓有成效的。歌者在练习时可以选择其中一种或几种，用多种手段去体会。

1．打哈欠是体会打开喉咙的最简单的途径。……“有种办法能把喉咙打开，当你困了，一面讲话一面打哈欠，这时喉咙就打开了。”……“要防止打哈欠打得太过头了，那样会使声音太靠后。”
2．找到胸部的支点有利于打开喉咙。……“唱歌时声音是从咳的地方发出来的。”……“声音是从两锁骨中间那里发出来的，声音要深”，“声音是从喉咙最底部发出来的。”……
3．模仿嗓子宽的人歌唱有助于打开喉咙。……“模仿嗓子宽的人去唱，不要模仿那人的音色，主要模仿他的技术。做为技术无论对哪一个声部都是同一的要求。”
4．不张大嘴唱歌可以迫使喉咙打开。
5．大笑和哭也有助于打开喉咙。
6．向后仰头常可以找到打开喉咙的感觉。

以上我介绍的是贝基先生在讲学中经常采用的一些打开喉咙的手段，歌者可以针对自己存在的问题，有选择地灵活运用。除此之外，我个人还有这样的体会：当喉咙完全打开时，在歌唱时会感到头部有一种向前和向上顶的力量，即在某种程度上有梗脖子的感觉。美国著名男中音歌唱家舍瑞尔·米尔恩斯在谈到纠正某些歌者在歌唱中头和下巴的状态不够自然时，主张将双手十指交叉，放在头部的后上方，在歌唱时轻轻用力向前搬，而头部又轻轻向后仰，这时头和下巴便处于歌唱时的状态。

还有一种感觉我认为是非常重要的，就是当喉咙完全打开时，歌者在歌唱时会感到喉咙似乎不复存在了，只有气息的支持和响亮的面罩共鸣是歌者能明显感觉得到的。用贝基的话来说就是“歌唱时只有横膈膜和面罩发生接触”。就是说，完全打开的喉咙似乎是一个畅通无阻的通道，声音在这里不会受阻，而是送进了上面的面罩，这虽然是一种感觉和想象，但似乎也是客观存在的事实。这种感觉是世界上许多著名歌唱家都认可，并非常强调的，所以歌者一定要努力寻求这种感觉，只有这样喉咙才是完全打开的。

——田玉斌《谈美声歌唱艺术》第71页—80页 如何寻找面罩共鸣：

我认为面罩共鸣实际上是打开鼻咽腔的产物。就是说，当歌者的声音获得了充分的面罩共鸣时，他（她）的鼻咽腔是完全打开的。如果说打开喉咙是要求打开喉咽腔和口咽腔，那么，要想把声音送进面罩，还必须同时把鼻咽腔打开。所以贝基先生说：“我所说的打开喉咙是要求上下左右都打开。”……如何做到在打开喉咽腔的口咽腔的同时，把鼻咽腔也完全打开，从而获得充分的面罩共鸣呢？我把贝基先生的做法按着我的理解，归纳为以下几种手段。

1．面带微笑声音容易进入面罩位置。贝基先生说：“古代的老师教唱歌只教两件事：一是打哈欠打开喉咙；二是微笑地唱有助于声音进入面罩。就靠这两点我国历史上出现了很多优秀的歌唱家。”
2．用哼唱的感觉到面罩共鸣。他说：“在哪里哼就在哪里唱。”……当然这种哼唱必须是以完全打开的喉咙和良好呼吸支持为前提，否则是哼不到面罩里面去的。另外在哼是要尽量找到一种晕乎乎的感觉，这说明打开了鼻咽腔真正哼到头上去了。
3.不张大嘴也有助于找到面罩共鸣。……除不张大嘴外，贝基先生还要求歌者不要用嘴去控制声音或用嘴去做声音，这样往往会影响面罩共鸣。
4．小声练唱有利于找到面罩共鸣。
5．讲话时也应该尽量运用面罩共鸣。……

正像斯基巴说的那样：“说话要像唱歌那样好听，唱歌要像说话那样自然。” ——田玉斌《谈美声歌唱艺术》第83页—91页 关于高音问题：

1．贝基先生说：“唱高音之前必须做好充分准确，这个高音的印象早就印在你的脑子里了。”我理解这句话包括两个方面的内容。其一是说，在你的头脑里必须树立起正确的声音形象，……其二是说，唱高音之前，发声器官的各个部位，如横膈膜的支持、喉结的位置和面罩共鸣等，都要做好将要积极工作的准备。
2．贝基先生说：声“音的动作与音高正好是相反的。”……就是说，越往高音唱，歌唱发声器官某些部位的动作与感觉越要往下。贝基先生把这种反向动作概括为三个方面，他说：“唱高音时别用外在的力量往上冲，而是用内在的力量：一是喉结两侧的肌肉将喉结往下拉；二是横膈膜有力的控制呼吸；三是头别往前伸，也别仰头，而应略低头。”
3．贝基先生说：“高音最需要面罩共鸣。”
4．贝基先生说：“唱高音要有自信感。”

练声时应该注意的一些问题：

1．练声是一项艰苦的劳动
2．练声时要保持良好的歌唱状态
3．练声时要培养歌唱意识
4．练声时要力求主客观统一
5．练声要有的放矢
6．练声时不要过于追求音量
7．练声时注意力要特别集中
8．要用科学的态度练唱
